Clavin Klein Infinite Hydration Foundation in 113 Porcelain

So i was strolling around downtown Vancouver (thank god it was not the night of the Vancouver riot) and i went to Winners downtown. The one in downtown is so much nicer, has lots of nice watches (DKNY, Gucci, Hugo Boss...), tons of handbags but a small selection of make up and perfume. What caught my eye was this: I didn't know CK had a make up line. Say what? XD I had to try it because i'm a curious beast like that.
If you don't know what Winners is, Winners is the same thing as USA's Ross. You basically play the game of chance. But when you find something you like, they usually sell it to you for a good deal. This time around, I was lucky enough to find my shade of color and it wasn't opened! Wow this must have been meant to be.It comes in a nice sleek packaging, glass bottle, a pump and a plastic cap that has CK logo on top.
The coverage is light to medium and goes on the skin quite nicely. It does take a little bit of time to smooth it out onto the skin (well compared to my skin 79 bb cream). I have to say this foundation is average, nothing really special. I won't buy it again. Maybe its because I have a fear of using foundations because, well to be frank i don't want to be a cake face. XD I usually just use MAC studio fix powder and a bit of concealer. I don't need much, but its nice to have a foundation at hand.

Conclusion:

-price: C+

-packaging: B

-product quality: B-

-Overall quality: C+

-Buy again? No but it didn't hurt to try it for $12.99 CAD (compared to $35)

Simple nude look

I have been watching a lot of Keeping up with the Kardashians and I always notice that the Kardashian sisters have a very nude, clean and simply eye make up but somewhat sultry still without being overpowering. So I came up with something like this... Yes i know that this isn't a sultry look, but the Kardashians inspire me to me much more clean, nude eye look with long lashes and liner. Hope you guys like it =3

ELF Studio Cream blush swatch and review

Some of the latest and newest elf products includes the ELF studio cream blush. I was thinking that the blushes would be more of a gel texture and would be hard to blend but BOY did these blow me away. They come in the same packaging as all the other studio packaging. Its a think cardboard box with plastic so that you can see the true color of the product. On the top right at the tab, it says the name of the color and what it is. As you can see, it is a cream to powder formula and it comes with 0.53 oz/ 15 g. That's a lot for the price! Wow ELF is outdoing themselves. Some more in depth information on the product and the list of ingredients. The lifetime for this product is 12 months (a year).Compared to the elf cream eyeshadow, its almost 2 times bigger. And the cream eyeshadow itself are pretty big, elf is blowing us away!To show you how big it is, I used a ruler to show you guys the true size. The packaging is about 5 cm X 5 cm. Pretty big for something so affordable right?
Each blush comes with a lid so that it doesn't dry out. So thoughtful for their products elf! They do snap shut so that's a good thing right? =)Here's a picture to show you the true colors in person (well kinda in person...haha in picture? =P)

Temptress- bronze/ brown; good for contouring
Vixen- dark rosey color with a cool undertone
Tease- Dusty coral color with a cool undertone
Seductress- Bright apple red color
Heartbreaker- Warm coral color
Flirt- Highlighter pink; I'm serious when i say HIGHLIGHTER PINK!!These blushes have a texture of jelly/ mousse which reminds me a lot of Maybelline's Dream matte mousse products. They are very easy to blend IF you use a brush like a stippling brush, which works wonders with a product like this. They are kinda crumbly and the finish is cream to powder, which is stated on the box.

SWATCHES!

Conclusion:
-price: B ($6 each...hmm Elf)
-packaging: C+ (kinda too big and chunky)
-product quality: B
-Overall quality: B
-Buy again? Maybe, if I ever FINISH IT! XD Which i don't think i ever will

Collective haul

Ok So I didn't have a lot of time the past 3 months to upload anything, but the buying NEVER STOPS. >=D So here's the collective haul from the past three months, litterally all from elf. Yes that is how much I love elf. So that's what I've been basically up to for the past three months. The Christmas break is coming up, so expect lots of reviews and other stuff =). Cheers~

ELF Studio foundation review

When ELF came out with their new foundation, I was just like I got to have it. Oh my gosh a foundation for $6? BRING IT! I have wore it for prom and I have to say it is VERY good. For the price, color and texture, it is worth my money.

So my first impression of this product was, "wow elf really out did themselves! The packaging is heavy duty, tinted glass bottle and with a pump!" When I say heavy duty, I really do mean heavy duty. It feels like I'm holding a $70 foundation bottle from Armani or something.

Side packaging clearly states that it as a pump. Its so nice =3

That's the back...hmm yeah haha yey ingredients list?

More boring information...

The lids are absolutely beautiful and high quality, printed on is a frosted elf logo. Its so beautiful and sleek. =)

Without the lid. It looks kinda small in this picture, but its a reasonable size. Its about the size of your palm (just the bottle without the lid). Compare this to their new tinted moisturize, I'd put this one hands down.

The bottle is frosted and everything is just super sleek. As you can see, it has SPF 15 and it "says" oil free but the ingredients contains a lot of mineral oil. Watttt??

Left to right: Porcelain, sand

The texture is the best part is that its not as thick as MAC's foundation, actually I mean its FARRRRR from as thick as MAC's foundations but its thick enough to give you a medium coverage. It is definitely buildable, but I don't really need thick coverage. Plus when I put on my powder, its just right.

Conclusion:
-price: B- ($6 each)
-packaging: B
-product quality: B
-Overall quality: B
-Buy again? Yes, I don't use liquid foundation but this one is a keeper.

Work at School theater

I was hoping to do something really bright and bold, but I didn't really have the chance to because no one's play had a over the top character. Obviously, these pictures aren't me. XD So I don't have pictures of all the make up looks I did, but essentially these are samples of my work. I think this picture came out better then I thought! The lighting is beautiful. This eye look was inspired by the space because I started out with this beautiful, dark navy pigment and then I just go with the flow. This is my friend, Steffi, who has me do her make up for a lot of things. This was one of my "jobs". Her character was a drunk girl who was calling her friend from a club. The picture doesn't do her justice, but I wanted a full face shot for once.
A really simple, gold and brown look for my girl here who's character was an agent. I didn't have enough time to take a better picture but her black liner was smoked out so that it would give a more sexy look.
Sigh...the more I look at it, the more pretty it gets. So jealous of my friend Esther here, look at those naturally thick lashes!

So that was a small snip-it of what I had to do for three days straight. It was quite a pain to have to wash all my brushes and sanitize my whole makeup kit, but hard work is the fun of it. To see your work after, and see them on stage knowing that you did that, that's its own reward. People think I'm stupid for doing it for free, but I think its just fun. My friend wants me to do it professionally, but i know what I want in life and this is just a hobby. So till next time, peace out =)

New ELF cosmetics stuff!! YEY

So I don't know if you guys know, but I just checked the elf website and on facebook and theres more new products! AHHH~~ SO EXCITING...bad news is i just ordered something yesterday. Gosh Elf never lets me catch up to them eh?
So first things first, if you become a fan on facebook of ELF cosmetics, you always get the inside scoop on whats happening and what are the "coming soon". Just now I logged into my facebook account and saw this...

I kinda started to freak out! I mean i'm a big sucker for cream eyeshadows. They are my biggest weakness next to bronzer and blush. So then I started to think, if they release these intot he market, has the tinted moisterizers come out yet? YES THEY HAVE!! OMG!!. Im a big fan of their ELF studio pressed powders so i kind of want the liquid foundation too. BTW if you haven't seen my other posts of elf's coming soon stuff, they are also coming out with new concealer palettes and cream blushses all in the studio line. I also hear about some mist thing coming soon but i haven't actually seen the pictures for it. If i do, i'll definitely let you guys know. The cream eyeshadows to me look exactly the same thing as their studio cream eyeliner. All elf studio stuff are $3 unless stated otherwise. They come in Candlelight (looks exactly like Ivory cream eyeliner--> a simmery white color), Dawn (Light bronzey brown; reminds me of the color Sin from urban decay), Bronze (a typical bronze color) and Eggplant (dark lilac color). Another new item is the ELF studo matte eyeshadow which reminds me of NYX chrome eyeshadows just by the image and the packaging. Comes in Pearl (white), Muted Mauve (light pink), Mint (light green), Burnt Brown (looks like a lilac color?), Smoke (light grey), Nude, Chesnut (coconut brown color), Brick, Baked Berry ( light lilac color again?), and Charcoal (black).
I know this isn't complety new but ELF also released the Endless Eye pro Eyeshadow palette that has 100 colors ($10) and a 32 ($5) colors ones. I did buy the 100 color one so I'll be doing a review on those very soon. They are getting into their limited edition fest mood eh? Here is the Classic 15 piece mini collection but with sparkles. Its kinda pretty i must admit but I'm not paying $15 for this since i have almost everything in the collection. ELF studio line's new Body glow, its some powder thing to add highlight to your body or something. Iunno watever, this one doesn't really interest me. Its $6 and i don't really think this is something to write home about.

Hmm...this seems to one one of the top three new products that people can't stop talking about. Its their new ELF studio make up mist and set which is some what like a MAC Fix+. It claims to help keep your make up stay in place and contains Aloe, Green Tea, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. $3 bucks, i'll check it out =)
Now this is the product that I have been waiting for a long long time. As I wrote up above, i'm a fan of their face powders and I really need liquid foundation type of stuff because my Skin Food BB cream just isn't going to cut it anymore. This comes in Porecelain, Beige, Nude, Sand, Almond, Mocha and Espresso. These are $3 each. It also contains spf 20 so that is a nice plus. When I saw this picture on the ELF facebook fan page, I started to freak out too!! I mean dudeee nail polishes for one dollar, AND they dry faster then my Opi ones? Dayum. And they have very nice colors too. These new ones for the holidays aren't matte colors like the regular colors, they have lots of glitter.
Picture above from left to right: Twinkle, Giltter Glam, Golden Goddess, Party Purple, Metal Madness
Next new product is the Elf studio 11 piece glitter Brush collection. These are the regular studio line brushes but with glitter handles. Elf is getting all glammed up for this season huh?

Another addition to the Elf studio line brush family, they introduced us to the angled contour brush for eyeshadow.

OMG ELF studio stippling brush for only $3?? FINALLY!! If they all works out when I get my hands on it and use it, it can be my h.g for LIFEE.

They also had the studio 2-in-one sponge applicators and lip gloss doe foot, but those are kinda boring so i won't show you those. If you wanna check out more of ELF's stuff, go to www.elfcosmetics.com
