MAC Dame Edna Beauty Powder in Spectacle! Review

I never knew what the point was to have a powder that is almost translucent but with a pink tone...Such a waste of money. Until now! =D I'm so liking now. For people that don't know what beauty powders are suppose to do:

-iluminate your face and give it a glow
-basically like a matte highlighter
-can be used as a blush.
I have to admit I only bought this because I have seen it on Youtube for quite a few times and wanted one myself. I got this in the CCO when i went to the states for only $18! YEY

The packaging looked quite nice and it also came with a puff thingy that i don't use. The glasses on the case looked awesome, but i didn't notice that it was only a cheap sticker ==". Fail. When you first buy it, it has this spray on thingy that makes it look very shimmery and pretty. But after about 5 swirls, the product underneath is actually matte. Iunno if you can see still, but the powder had a imprint of "Dame Edna" with stars all around it.

The product itself is nicely pressed and feels very silky to the touch. Pigmentation is sheer, but that is the point of beauty powders.

Overall mark:

-packaging: B

-product: A

-Cost: B+

The body shop summer 2010 Baked Bronzer

Just a few weeks ago, or I think it was last month? There was a sale (i think it's still going on right now) in Canada, the body shop yet again had the "Buy any 3 items for only $30" but not including gift sets or any set for that matter. So i decided to take that offer since I was wanting to get this highligher/bronzer for a long time, but $21 is a little too expensive for The body shop. Anyways, here's some pictures...

The packaging is just like the blush/bronzer from last year, but this time it is clear. The clear makes the whole product look very nice and sleek. The lid is a deep doom shape, same with the product itself.

As you can see, it has a marblized finish containing gold, brown, little bits of redish brown and a light pink. It looks really muddy and washed up since I have been using it and swirling it around with my brush.

Swatch in day light/ more yellowish light.

Here's a swatch in flash light/ white light.

(Oh la la, made in Italy!)

It reminds me a lot of Mac's MSF's. It is kinda similar, but i like these a whole lot better because MSF have more chucky gimmer while this once gives more of a sheen. MSF are 10g and these are 9g!! WOW The price differs by $12...

Summary: -cost: 7/10 (for regular price; I got mine for only $10)

-Pigmentation: 9/10

-Packaging: 8/10

Overall: B+

ELF duo cream eyeshadow

Here's a video I made back in Feburary. Hope it helps ^^

Clarisonic pro

Just two weeks ago, I decided to finally buy the clarisonic but on EBAY!! >=D I got the newest 2010 model with 4 speeds (which is only with the Pro clarisonic). Normally the pro one cost about $225+ but i got mine for $161 + $30 (shipping)=$191. Ebay seller was really good with shipping, only 3 days after I bought it, IT CAME TO MY HOUSE!! wow

YEY...preeetyyyy. There's actually 4 different types of clarisonics:

-Mia $149 (only one speed and is smaller)
- Classic $195 (only two speeds and comes in three colors)
- Plus $225 (only two speeds + with body head= 3rd speed, only in white and limited edition model)
-Pro $195/$225 (4 speeds, 5th speed with body head, Grey one comes with normal brush head while other comes with sensitive brush head).
I got the Men color HAHA...grey. Iunno why but there's an inscription on mine that says "Metropolitan".

There she is, ain't she a beauty? Buahahah >=D

Here's some info:
Benefits that the company claims --> fewer dry patches, gentle exfliation for softer/ smoother skin, firmer skin with improved texture, great prep for skin tanning

The difference with Clarisonic Pro and the classic is that it comes with:
-Universal charging cradle, comes with a nourishing care cleanser, has 4 speeds for the face, 5th speed when body brush is used
-The classic only has 2 speed and a 120v AC chargin cradle. Don't get confused with Plus and pro though. Clarisonic Plus has only three speeds, but for the same price. So just get the Clarisonic pro ==".

As you can see here on the clarisonic pro/plus, the plastic pattern on the clarisonic handle is kinda like a water drop-ish patter and the classic one just a tear drop shape.

I haven't heard anyone talk about the battery in the clarisonic. The battery is located on the bottom of the handle and is activation when placed in the cradle. I think its magnetic or something.

Here's just some random instruction. It also comes with a mailing thingy that gives you a free subscription to Women's Health (but it only works for US residents which suck).
