ELF beauty encyclopedia Lip Edition

Check out my video from youtube if your too lazy to read XD.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot8M_lZePD4
Finally recieved my ELF package from the 60% off sale, but the stupid mail man LEFT IT ON THE FRONT DOOR. Geez, just ring the damn doorbell and give it to me. What if someone jacked my stuff yo? Argh...or like leave it in the mail box where there is a box slot thing. Whatever...lazy butt.
Anyways, to more happy news! Here it goooooesss ^^.

So the product itself has a smell to it, but it is bearable. It reminds me of the same smell from Veet waxing strips...werid.

The Front of the little book. For those of you who have the 88 pallette, this pallette is about a inch smaller both length and width. So don't expect this to be uber big like me XD.

When you open the flap, there are instructions on how to apply lip products. The packaging itself is made mostly of hard cardboard with black foam so it is lightweight and good for traveling or just leaving it in your purse.

Comes with a plastic sheet to shield the product.

The pallette itself contains 12 lip color shades, 2 lip glosses, 1 lip liner and 1 lip defining brush.
When I first saw this pallete online, I thought the lip colors would be just waxy and not pigmented but BOY WAS I PLEASNTLY SURPRISED! It is soooooo creamy and pigmented. The colors would suit everyone with colors such as a nude to a royal red.
Heres some swatches:

First row from the top

Middle Row. The color on the left is the best nude color ever!! it doesn't blank out your lips to make you look like a porn star, but it nudes out your lip with a hint oh your natural color peeking through. Its the same color as the popular mineral lipstick natural nymph but with the texture of a lip gloss .The second color from the left is a really nice deep royal red for that Hollywood glamour look.

Bottom Row
Glosses swatches: the top one has a light pink frosty finish and bottom one is just a sheer pink color

The mini lip liner that comes with it is the same ones from the regular line (Feather Proof- Moisturizing Lip Liner in Mauve Luxe)
Liner swatch: Nice dark pink color with hints of shimmer but it is somewhat not soft enough; you need to press a little bit harder then normal Mini lip brush that comes with the pallette is almost the same size as the liner, just a little bit smaller. It is really soft and fluffy but i never actually used it on my lips so i can't really review this. If you don't use it on your lips, it would be also a nice eye brush.
Conclusion:-Price: $5 normally; got it for $2 A++ (good bang for your bucks)
-Packaging quality: B+
-Product Quality: A (very creamy and pigmented; liner can be better though)
-Overall rating: A
-Buy again? : yess

MAC Dame Edna Beauty Powder in Spectacle! Review

I never knew what the point was to have a powder that is almost translucent but with a pink tone...Such a waste of money. Until now! =D I'm so liking now. For people that don't know what beauty powders are suppose to do:

-iluminate your face and give it a glow
-basically like a matte highlighter
-can be used as a blush.
I have to admit I only bought this because I have seen it on Youtube for quite a few times and wanted one myself. I got this in the CCO when i went to the states for only $18! YEY

The packaging looked quite nice and it also came with a puff thingy that i don't use. The glasses on the case looked awesome, but i didn't notice that it was only a cheap sticker ==". Fail. When you first buy it, it has this spray on thingy that makes it look very shimmery and pretty. But after about 5 swirls, the product underneath is actually matte. Iunno if you can see still, but the powder had a imprint of "Dame Edna" with stars all around it.

The product itself is nicely pressed and feels very silky to the touch. Pigmentation is sheer, but that is the point of beauty powders.

Overall mark:

-packaging: B

-product: A

-Cost: B+

The body shop summer 2010 Baked Bronzer

Just a few weeks ago, or I think it was last month? There was a sale (i think it's still going on right now) in Canada, the body shop yet again had the "Buy any 3 items for only $30" but not including gift sets or any set for that matter. So i decided to take that offer since I was wanting to get this highligher/bronzer for a long time, but $21 is a little too expensive for The body shop. Anyways, here's some pictures...

The packaging is just like the blush/bronzer from last year, but this time it is clear. The clear makes the whole product look very nice and sleek. The lid is a deep doom shape, same with the product itself.

As you can see, it has a marblized finish containing gold, brown, little bits of redish brown and a light pink. It looks really muddy and washed up since I have been using it and swirling it around with my brush.

Swatch in day light/ more yellowish light.

Here's a swatch in flash light/ white light.

(Oh la la, made in Italy!)

It reminds me a lot of Mac's MSF's. It is kinda similar, but i like these a whole lot better because MSF have more chucky gimmer while this once gives more of a sheen. MSF are 10g and these are 9g!! WOW The price differs by $12...

Summary: -cost: 7/10 (for regular price; I got mine for only $10)

-Pigmentation: 9/10

-Packaging: 8/10

Overall: B+
