Giorgio Armani Fall 2012 makeup recreation

When I saw this on the style website, the website that I go to to see what is the upcoming runway collections and I completely fell in love with this look.  Its subtle and neutral but the pop of surprise is so interesting to me.  I love how it reminds me of a cheetah print, but a deconstructed way. The nude peach color on the inner crease, slightly smoked out cut crease and the pop of white on the whole crease.  :)
I was really hitting myself for not writing the designer runway look so I was trying to find it for half an hour just now :/.  I kept thinking that it was from a recent collection from D&G but I was looking through just the fall 2012. This look was actually pretty easy; you just have to take your time to have a clean look, especially when working with black. I know I haven’t done a look for a while but I usually don’t unless I’m inspired to do so.  This look is easily my top five look.

Primer: ELF eyelid primer $1
Color base: Mixture of Coral 002 + Yellow 013 + White 010= light peach nude color from Make up forever flash palette $99
Inner nude color: 2nd row on left side, 4th color from the bottom of ELF 144 ultimate eye shadow palette  $15
Thin cut crease: 1st row on left side, last color from bottom left; ELF 144 ultimate eye shadow palette $15
“C crease” & bottom lash line: Carbon Black MAC $18
White V  & waterline: Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Pearl $18 (I really don’t recommend this product :/, review soon hopefully)
Mascara: One by one Maybelline $7 ish (depending on where you get it)
Lash curler: Daiso sliver lash curler $2

Hope you guys like my recreation, I had a lot of fun doing this look and I would actually wear this out. :)

Joe fresh steal of a deal!

Two weeks ago, I was killing time. I'm actually kinda greatful for the times I have to kill because I almost have no time to myself since i went back to school and have to work on the weekends. No time to sleep, no down town. So i really cherish when I can just lay back and relax. Anyways I just stopped by my local superstore since i needed to get some toothpaste and body spray from dove that I like since it smells exactly like the dove body wash. I absolutely love the smell of clean clothes, the soap smell. Ughh Am I the only one?

Anyways, i was just strolling around and I went to the big Joe fresh clothing section in the middle of the supermarket. I do like their clothes and they have a good price point but I usually just go to the clearance rack. The werid thing is that their clearance stuff was spread out, so i had to look carefully. I'm a petit girl, so finding things in my size is usually a miracle. I wear a size XS or S so when i found the boa snake print blouse that has been in the joe fresh advertisements, the exact one I like for only $6.94, I just couldn't pass it! It's original price is $29! I mean the price for $29 was decent, espically compared to something you could and would find in Zara for four times the price. But it was $7! And my size? Damn! So getting it :D. They actually have two new colors for this fall season which is a jewel tone blue and a gray but i think i'll stick to the yellow one since it reminds me of a boa and its a fun color to pair with other pieces.

Another top I got was a blood orange colored nautical sweater with cute little button detailing on the shoulder area. I know i know, this looks super boring but once you try it on, its super cute! Its not slim fitting, but the slight boxyness of the sweater works! This is definitely not something I would wear in the summer time, this would be great for the fall time. I mean you could wear it at the beach or something, but i hate the heat so me wearing this would be so painful for me. I live in Vancouver and its usually somewhat warm, raining and the occasional hail storm LOL but its all good because I love that kind of weather! This sweater I got for less then $5!! Well $4.94 to be exact. Omggggawww~

The last two pieces I actually went down the the downtown store for Joe fresh which i believe is the only store in Canada right now that is an actual store store for Joe fresh clothing. I was hoping that I would get great deals like the ones I found in superstore, but everything there was all expensive....It was almost a little more then forever 21 which is somewhat ridiculous. The clearance rack wasn't that great either, but I did find two turtlenecks that are the athletic stretchy materal with an invisible zipper in the back of the neck. I like this materal because it hugs the body really nicely and i grow up thinking that black turtlenecks with a pearl necklace is super sexy! Whoo :D. These would be great for the winter time when I wanna work out or just wear them as fashion staples. Each of these were only $6.94! Steal of a deal! :D

ELF 50% off everything haul

Exactly two weeks ago, elf had their 50% off everything sale. They usually would have a 60% off sale but I guess that they didn't want to do this this year. They are still haven't their 8th birthday which they are holding deals almost every three days to every week so just check them out to see if the deal is good enough for you and make a purchase! I was like an eagle on the inter-web, checking their website everyday to see when they were holding the best sale and when they finally had a 50% off EVERYTHING sale, I knew that this would be the second best to the 60% off. Overall I got 29 items for $35 (included shipping) which I think is an absolutely great deal! Shipping to Canada is not the flat rate of $6.95 if you use paypal and is $18, so that stops me from buying often.

Things I got this time around:
-shimmering facial whip in spotlight
-all over color stick in spotlight (the actual product isn't the color stick but a cover stick even though its packaged in the color stick packaging; confused? me too LOL)
-FREEBIE hypershine lipgloss in flirt
-super glossy lip shine spf 15 in pink kiss
-lip stain in berry blush
-eyelid primer in champange
-zit zapping concealer in corrective green
-liquid eyeliner in black and plum
-waterproof eyeliner pen in coffee and black
-studio small stippling brush
-studio angled blush brush
-studio mineral powder brush
-studio mascara & shadow shield
-studio flawless concealer brush
-essential eyelash & brow wand
-mineral eyeshadow primer in sheer and blush
-mineral foundation in light
-mineral eyeshadow in enchanting
-studio baked eyeshadow in bark, enchanted, burnt plum
-studio kohl eyeliner
-studio under eye concealer & highlight
-studio HD powder in corrective yellow
-studio tone correcting powder in warm

I don't know if you can see but the essential liquid eyeliner that I got in black a plum, the black ones have that fine brush but the plum one has the hard sponge tip. That doesn't make any sense to me since I don't even like the sponge tip and I know that others would choose the brush tip over the sponge any day since the brush is so much more easier to use and much more precise! The sponge tip just hurts to use and end up using my own brush anyways.

Overall, I really excited to use all of these and I espically excited to try out the studio kohl eyeliner. I haven't heard any reviews about it so that will be coming up soon. I really wanna use the HD powder in corrective yellow since it would be great for me! I am really into highlighting my skin nowadays so this would be nice :). I finally got almost all of the studio baked eyeshadows (excpeted for the grey color) and that will be coming out with a review on my page too :D. The most amazing thing about this haul is that i got the essentail products for 50 cents! That is crazy to me! But i didn't get as much as a should since I don't use as much make up as before since I'm too tired in the morning and Im a chef, so me looking like a zombie in the kitchen won't affect anyone's eyesight LOL.

Hope you enjoy my big haul :). I absoultely love elf and their products and I just get so excited to see the little white box in my mail box. Reviews will be coming up shortly, but there might be a delay since I'm back to school already.

Outfit of the day; 1950's inspired

Summer has finally hit Vancouver and its is super nice and warm.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to celebrate by going to the beach and tan. I hateee the heat.  Yes you can call me a vampire since I am really pale in real life but it was the perfect mix of warm and cool win the other day.  I hope you don’t mind that I took the picture in my bathroom and you can see all the junk in the back, but the bathroom upstairs is the only place where I can take a full body picture without having to stand on top of the toilet.

Anyways, I’ve been having a retro 1950’s, soda drinking era kick lately and thought it was a great time to pull out that yellow Nica retro inspired bag and the striped blouse.  My stupid hand was blocking the tie function…which is why I bought the shirt but the shirt is actually longer in the middle bottom.  This shirt caught my eyes when I saw it at Winners when I was just checking out.  I didn’t even try it on and just bought it.  For my shorts, I got those from old navy.  The unique thing I like about these shorts is it actually looks like the thread came out and it has that unfinished look but I checked it up online to see if it’s supposed to be like that and it is! And I got it on sale so hellyaa!

For accessories, I wore my nica “Hope” bag and my nude Report “kim” wedges.  For my necklaces, I just wore my sliver skull necklace I got at Mimosa jewelry recently and the Swarovski cosmic triangle necklace that I made.  I wore my mother of pearl DKNY rose gold watch on my right hand and my matte mint beaded chan luu inspire wrap bracelet that I made. The only ring I wore was the Forever 21 cheetah bejeweled ring which I love!!

For my make up, I just wore a really simple champagne color all over my eyes and a warm brown from the ELF ultimate eyeshadow palette  with the ELF $1 liquid eyeliner in black.  I also have some prestige classic kohl eyeliner in Golden brown to keep my eyes opened and to have my look a little more golden bronze for the summer.  For that natural look for my lashes, I use my all time favorite mascara from Maybelline One by One.

Report "Kim" wedges

Yesterday I went to winners near my house, actually seriously aren’t you guys sooo sick of me talking about winners. But that is literally the one place I love to shop at. >_<. If any of you guys live where I live, I got these at the winners at marine way. They have Kate spade swirl perfume, juicy couture love and peace perfume, escada scented body lotions and a really great cargo cosmetics kit with eye shadow quad, mascara, eye shadow single and an eyeliner for only $14.99! I’m really hitting myself for not getting it but I don’t think I need it >_<. I’m thinking of doing a giveaway soon but I don’t like what to give away yet. Be prepared :). Once I hit 100 followers, I’ll do a giveaway. Anyways! Back to business.

I actually went to Winners because I bought a Nike dri-fit sports bra at the Lansdowne winners that I love but they don’t have the size for me and I already exchanged it twice and I’m really in a need for a sports bra in the summer since it is so comfortable! I was so disappointed that they didn’t have it at the Winners near my house but I always just stroll around after that. I wasn’t planning on getting shoes but I always wanted to add a pair of wedges to my shoe collection but I haven’t worn a pair of heels for a while. These were actually sitting on one of the front aisles, right whey new products are fresh on the aisle and they have a bulk of them. I didn’t actually fall in love with it right away, but I think that shoes can’t really be determined until you actually try it on. Christian Loubutin even said himself that shoes aren’t just shoes, it’s the way that the shoes makes you fell and the silhouette that gives women the confidence to walk with their head up and their sexy booties :). I completely agree!

When I tried these on in a size seven, they fit like a glove! Usually some shoes say they are seven but aren’t true to size.  These shoes are completely true to size and are from a shoe company called “report”; shoe model name is called “Kim”. Winners are getting shoes from this company which is making me really happy.  The regular retail price point of these shoes are around $110-$170 which is the price point of Nine west which I love too but I try not to buy all my  shoes from only one brand, but I won’t mind if they are well made and really comfortable. The Kim is a closed toe, fake suede wedge with a wood (not sure if it is really wood or just a print) sole and a really dainty ankle strap which makes these shoes super chic but simple.  The color of these shoes against my pasty pale skin tone just makes me look that much more somewhat tanned and elongates my legs since it is a nude tone shoe.

These pair of shoes do have really good cushioning built into them which is really important for me since I need to be walking with them.  The height of these shoes is about 5.5 inches to 6 inches and has a 2 inch platform.  I usually don’t like my platform more than 1.5 inches but because the extra height is in the front, that means the angle of my feet bending from the  front is less therefore more comfort for me :D.

Original price of these shoes are said to be about $110 but I got these for $67 and some change after tax so it wasn’t that bad.  Do you guys like these shoes?  Would you get these for yourself?
