Etude house Feburary 2015 Pink bird (feat. Chocolate collection, Precious mineral moist any cushion)

I know Valentines has already pasted, but HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE! Even if you don't have a boyfriend or a husband, it can also be a day to love yourself and treat yourself to something sweet, something pretty.  I'm excited to show you Etude House's latest collection, the Chocolate and some other new products even I was surprised to see in the box!  When I saw their collection on Etude house korea's instagram, I freaked out so hard because I really wanted to get the Too Faced chocolate bar palette but all the colors I had something in my collection that could have been duped so it was no point.  So When I saw Etude house's adorable and affordable collection, I was like..."I NEED EVERYTHING!"

If you don't know what Pink bird box is, it is not a box you can buy but a box kindly created by Etude House themselves which they send to hand selected bloggers to bring readers their latest collections.  Sadly you can not buy these boxes, but I will leave links to sites I trust online which you can get these products :), with affordable worldwide shipping of course!

The funny little short story behind this box, I got this box literally when I was still half asleep.  I had to run to the front door at 11:00 am when the mail man surprisingly was super early. After my usual mail lady who delivered all my memebox had been switched to a different route, the new mailman comes at 3:00 pm which is super inconvenient since that is the time I go to work, so I'd have to either wait til my parcel goes to the post office or even wait for the next day to pick it up.  I almost fell down the stairs because I was so scared the mail man would leave.  So I finally got to the door, still in my PJ's, hair worse then a bee hive and I still couldn't see clearly since my eye poop made my vision still fluzzy.  At my front door I see a mail man and a little pink package.  I was like oh nice! My very last Memebox (bittersweet moment), but I got upstairs and it was actually my pink bird box.  I was still half asleep but I was screaming for joy silently hehe.
Sorry for the super long store, hope you don't mind.  Hey at least this is just a blog post and you didn't have to go through a 7 min video hearing me babble right :)?

ELF nail polish

Dayum...I love these nail polishes. They're only a buck each and the colors are GORGEOUS! LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE. I think I might collect all of them.

ELF company claim: "This color-lock formula with chip resistant shield gives long lasting nail color with high shine. The aerodynamic bristle design glides color on flawlessly, while the quick dry formula gives perfect application every time. Key nutrients give nails that natural shine, infused with Vitamin E for stronger, healthier nails. Our formula is FREE of: Toluene, Formaldehyde, and Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP). "

Most of the nail polish names do match the colors, so props to that.
I only have 12 of them right now. Sad I know but i can't really use nail polish in my upcoming culinary arts program because its a health hazard. :'( But i can use them for my toes =).

The only down fall about these are they aren't as good as OPI or essie nail polishes and only last about 3-5 days. If you have a good base coat and top coat, they can survive about 4-7 days max. But for me, all is forgiven for the fact that it doesn't smell toxic, are only a buck each and have fabulous colors

The only problem I have with these are the lids. A lot of them when you twist, the lid doesn't always match to the bottle.

Definition of my description:
Flat finish: no shimmer, no glitter, no nothing. Just a flat color with a shiny finish.
Sheen: contains fine shimmers causing a nice sheen when the light hits.
Desert Haze (creamy nudeish color with the light grey/brown twist; no shimmer->flat)-top fav. COLOR!! The picture doesn't do the beautiful color any justice. =(
Mint cream (pastel light mint cream color; no shimmers->flat color)- This one I was most excited but most dissapointed too. The color is really nice and very trendy right now with thee fashion world, but mine came with a messed up bristle, making it impossible to be not streaky.

Chocolate (dark chocolate broown color;->flat color)- This really surprised me. Although this does make me think of poop color, all you need is one coat for the true color to be revealed. This is also a nice alternative to black. =)
Dark Navy (dark royal navy color; sheen)- Really nice color even though I'm not really into dark colors. Do like this color a lot.
Mod Mauve (Berry mauvey color; flat)- This also is another color I love. The perfect mixer of a darkish color with that little twist.

Champagne (Light peachy color with silver shimmers; sheen finish)
Bubblegum Pink (Barbie neon pink; flat finish)
Passion Pink ( Neon pinkish orange; flat finish)- Kinda reminds be of the 80's XD. Burgundy (Burgundy color with a golden sheen; sheen finish)- This one reminds me a lot of chinese lanterns and red pockets. Its the perfect shade of burgundy (its not a red though) with the beautiful hint of golden sheen.
Fire Coral (neon orange; flat finish)Coral (more pink color with hint of golden then a coral; sheen finish)
My babies on my shelve stacked nicely on my DIY nail polish stand. Looks like girl's eye candy with all those beautiful colors. =3

Conclusion:
-price: A+ ($1 each)
-packaging: B+
-product quality: A
-Overall quality: B++
-Buy again? Yes

ELF Nail polish remover pads review

I have heard a lot about these pads on youtube and decided to try them out. When I first got it, like everyone else, I thought it was all dried out. But when I actually used it, it took off my nail polish like a dreammmm~~ One pack comes with 18 pads (one pad is enough for both your hands...you'll see) *sorry about the lightening, the sticker says "New Improved forumla*
Thinking that this would be just another stinky nail polish that would taste/smell like death (like Sally Hansen ones..those Liquid ones omg >_<), this totally took me by surprise. IT SMELLS AWESOME!! "Fresh citrus scent" to be exact. O-M-G I couldn't stop smelling these darn things. It doesn't even have the smallest hint of alcholic nastyness. Thumbs up for that =D

As you can see, there are only 4 ingredients, compared to Sally Hansen nail polish remover that has 30+ ingredients. And it smells REALLY REALLY bad...no joke. The product/packaging was a lot less smaller then I expected when I first got it. Compared to a Mac blush, it is a little bit smaller (around 0.5 cm in radius smaller). Pads itself are litterally paper thin. When you first feel the pads, they feel like they're dry but they're really not. Start rubbing it againsted your nails and surprisingly, oils take away the polish like melting butter. I'm not quite sure what the pads are; they are kinda something like really thin felt.

How they work... Here is a nasty 5 days old manicure that is starting to chip...please ignore the uglyness. *Btw...if you're wondering about the color, its 1 coat of OPI 3 Plums I win from Vegas collection with 1 coat of ELF nail polish in Mod Mauve*.

Before... Definition of swipe: a "wipe" from bottom to top and not rubbing it back and forth

One swipe...

Two swipes...
Three swipes...
Five swipes... (keep in mind i'm not rubbing my nails and i'm using only light pressure)

And....... VOILA~ CLEANNNN
One bad thing about these pads is it makes your polish turn to liquid kinda thing, and the liquid stuff goes under your nails and stays there.
Conclusion:
-Price: A+++ (just like every other thing from ELF; only $1)
-Packaging: A (nice hard plastic)
-Overall rating: A (bad thing is I LOVE this product but i'm going to have to buy a lot more if i use nail polish on a daily basis)
-Buy again?: YESS!!
