Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup

One thing that really stinks is watching your favorite Youtubers talking about all these fantastic make up but they don't have it anywhere else other then USA.  WHAT THE FART!  Canada isn't that bad since we have about 80% of the products they have in USA but it is always that 20% that kicks you in the bum and makes me want to live in the states.  I really want to since they have all the good shops, awesome drugstore deals like bogos and half off.  We never have awesome deals like that.  Not only that, our tax is higher and the price is higher.  But at least we get to say this to them, "FREE (not really) health care :D".
The one foundation in the drugstore that I really want to try and I've heard way too many good things about is the "Neutrogena healthy skin liquid make up foundation".  Why do we not have this here!  We have Neutrogena skincare but not their make up.  Sigh but I think I will get my mom to get this when she crosses the border hopefully this weekend.

Has anyone tried this?  Anyone reading that is NC15-20?  Will the classic ivory work?

skin79 BB cream haul from eBay

Since my skin79 hot pink bb cream I got last year from Hong Kong is going to run out very soon and I don’t want to part with it, I hit up eBay and got myself some good deals! I have tried other two bb creams previous from trying the skin 79 bb creams but I really didn’t like it. I have tried the aloe skin food one but I didn’t really like it since it just doesn’t really work that great and it could easily look somewhat cakey. I have tried my sister’s missha one but it’s a little too grey for my liking.

The skin79 hot pink is so easy to use, you don’t even have to use a brush and it just melts into the skin like butter. I almost never use a brush with this bb cream, I mean you don’t even need to! The color is somewhat grey but when you blend it into your skin, you can’t tell and it does give pretty good sheer to medium coverage.

So I already know that I love the brand skin79 so I wanted to try what else they offer.  I actually bought from two different sellers.  The first one was a deal for 2 15g travel sized bb creams for $19.99, which I thought was a pretty good deal since one runs for about $10-$12.  If you don’t know about bb creams, and I know myself am sick of hearing this, but bb cream is on the fine line of a foundation and tinted moisturizer.  A lot of people say that bb creams are just tinted moisturizer, but I don’t think so.  I think it’s in a completely different realm of things.  BB creams has a lot of different properties, especially whitening properties since Asians really seek out snow white skin.

Diamond the Prestige:

-all skin type
-SPF Protection 25 PA++
-Whitening features
-sebum control
-wrinkle improvement
-shimmer

Hot pink super plus:

-all skin type
-SPF Protection 25 PA++
-Whitening features
-Sebum control
-wrinkle improvement

VIP Gold Super plus :
-all skin types
-SPF Protection 25 PA++
-whitening features
-skin nourishment
-wrinkle improvement

Vital Orange :
-contains lots of vitamins like vitamin A (Elasticity), C derivatives (brightening), E (moisturizing), E derivatives (nourishment) and F (moisturizing)
-SPF Protection 50 PA+++
-Eco-oil mix (plant based eco ingredients)

I also got myself some samples of the Snail nutrition bb cream. I didn’t get a travel size of it because I really don’t know how I feel about having snail slime on my face. >_< Benefits they claim are:

-brightens dark and dull skin tone
-whitening properties
-wrinkle improvement
-contains 45% Korean snail secretion
-UVA and B rays protection

I will be doing reviews in the future when I have more time to use these but I’m really excited to use them since I’m a really low maintenance kind of girl and I never touch up so we will see how this goes .

eBay sellers I got the bb creams from.  I highly recommend them since they have pretty cheap prices, fast shipping (and its free shipping too :D), top sellers and they sell the real deal and none of that fake stuff.  Check it out :D. They do give you some samples, but the first seller I link you do gives you tonssss of samples so just a heads up . They are really good sellers.

Clavin Klein Infinite Hydration Foundation in 113 Porcelain

So i was strolling around downtown Vancouver (thank god it was not the night of the Vancouver riot) and i went to Winners downtown. The one in downtown is so much nicer, has lots of nice watches (DKNY, Gucci, Hugo Boss...), tons of handbags but a small selection of make up and perfume. What caught my eye was this: I didn't know CK had a make up line. Say what? XD I had to try it because i'm a curious beast like that.
If you don't know what Winners is, Winners is the same thing as USA's Ross. You basically play the game of chance. But when you find something you like, they usually sell it to you for a good deal. This time around, I was lucky enough to find my shade of color and it wasn't opened! Wow this must have been meant to be.It comes in a nice sleek packaging, glass bottle, a pump and a plastic cap that has CK logo on top.
The coverage is light to medium and goes on the skin quite nicely. It does take a little bit of time to smooth it out onto the skin (well compared to my skin 79 bb cream). I have to say this foundation is average, nothing really special. I won't buy it again. Maybe its because I have a fear of using foundations because, well to be frank i don't want to be a cake face. XD I usually just use MAC studio fix powder and a bit of concealer. I don't need much, but its nice to have a foundation at hand.

Conclusion:

-price: C+

-packaging: B

-product quality: B-

-Overall quality: C+

-Buy again? No but it didn't hurt to try it for $12.99 CAD (compared to $35)

ELF haul #15

haha yeah yet another elf haul. I bought the whole master set too just yesterday, so it will arrive around Oct.1. Kinda excited =D The main reason I went ahead with this haul was because I wanted to try their mineral line and their new mineral brushes. I did want to buy all of the brushes, but then i had the whole collection of the studio brushes and a lot of other ones so i didn't buy all of them in the end.I bought: Mineral powder brush, waterproof eyeliner pens (plum, midnight, coffee), 2 nail polish pad, mineral booster in sheer, mineral foundation in light, mineral lipsticks (nicely nude, runway pink), mineral eyeliner in midnight, ELF refer three friends and get a shimmering facial whip in citrus.

I ordered 2 mineral eyeliners, but only one of them came. Also the waterproof eyeliner pen in midnight came all dried up which I wasn't too happy about. These pens have a 50/50 chance of either being super good or super messed up. I don't know if anyone knows this, but on the bottom of the ELF site there's a PETA button that you can click to buy a tweezers for only $2 and it goes towards PETA.

Smashbox VS ELF

Is it just me or is ELF copying Smashbox? I know that ELF isn`t selling it but as far as I can see, they look like they might be the exact same thing.

Smashbox company quote on their product
"Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer is a lightweight, revolutionary sheer color formula for naturally radiant skin. A healthy complexion starts with unique citrus honey ingredients for long-lasting hydration and oil absorption, with UVA/UVB SPF 15 added to guard against future sun damage. Vitamins C and E offer protection against free radicals and anti-aging peptides improve elasticity. Skin stays flawless and protected with a smooth, matte finish all day long."

On ELF's packaging, it says "ELF tinted moisturizer SPF 20 with Aloe, cucumber and Vitamins A, C & E. It comes with 1.05oz/30g in one tube.

So yes there is differences in the ingredients but as far as i'm concerned, its really really similar. Smashboxs comes with 1.07 oz, SPF 15, while ELF comes with 1.05 oz, and SPF 20. I don't really have these products, so i can't really review them. But I'm sure I'm going to buy ELF's studio tinted moisturizer.
