ELF studio single eyeshadow

Raspberry truffle-Dark chocolately raspberry color with a rusty iridescent

Sea Blue- dark primary blue with blue iridescentTotally teal- teal color with sliver and teal iridescentSunset-burnt peachy gold color with gold and peachy sheen

Elf's description

"The beautiful soft texture melts into the skin for a vibrant color that lasts. Convenient and easy to apply, just layer the color to achieve the desired intensity. Apply wet or dry for a fabulous look that never creases or fades. "

Packaging

I personally don't own any NARS eye shadows because, well their frinkin expensive! And i'd have to really fall in love with one product to buy something that's $25+ for an eyeshadow. It has the same black sleek packaging, but one advantage to elf's take on their Nars knock off packaging is that it has a little peek whole to let you see what color it is in the pan. It also has a really tiny mirror inside which i find super pointless but good to have :). I love that it snaps really secure so if you put it in your make up bag, it would open up and make your bag all dirty :3.
Color pigmentation/ payoffWhen i first opened my three newest single eyeshadow (Totally teal, sea blue and sunset), i was stunned! I was drooling over the gorgeous colors, but when we go to swatch i was quite disappointed. I was hoping the colors would be silky, but it is quite chalky. As you can see in the pictures above, when applied dry its terrible. Applying it with a primer is the best and applying it wet is a little bit of a hassle if your trying to do a big area. Most of them have a slight sheen and iridescent which makes them super pretty :D.

ELF studio matte lip color

Elf's description of the product:
"This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen. The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips. "
Packaging
This studio matte lip color comes in a twisty pen with a cap. When I first got it, tea rose was actually broken :(, but i dealt with it and melted it with a lighter and stuck it back together. On the bottom is a color coordination strip so you an tell which color is which :).
Color pigmentation/ pay off
My lips are really pigmented so anything that covers my lips and gives them a different color is good :D. These remind me of MAC amplified lipsticks, but a little bit more wearable.

Praline: cool neutral brown color; super wearable for everyday

Coral: Semi bright orangey peach color; doesn't suit my skin color (NW25), looks really gross to me so i'd have to top it with a lipgloss or something

Tea Rose: My favorite out of all three that i have. It reminds me of Mac Saint Germain lipstick (which i don't have but seen tons of swatches) but a more wearable color. Its a dusty purple color with a hint of pink. I loveee this color.
Texture & finish
These are super creamy and somewhat moisturizing but in the long run, it does dry my lips a little bit. Keep in mind that my lips are super dry and a little bit chappy sometimes.
Smell?
There isn't a smell to this product which is good for me :).
Price
All of these lip colors retail for $3 on the elf site and maybe at target if you live near one, but i don't because i live in Canada. The only place that retails elf cosmetics is winners, and they overprice it like three times.
Overall i do think this is a good product, but i would only be repurchasing tea rose because i do think its a really wearable pop of color for the fall :). If you like my reviews, don't forget to comment, rate and subscribe.

Deck the Halls look

The holiday seasons are coming up and i thought i would do a christmas look. I just started with a simple red, added a green and then hints of gold. It just screams christmas don't you think? I did this look backwards though. Usually i would start from the inner lid first, but i did the crease first and then built my way into the inner crease.

Primer: Elf eyeshadow primer
Colour base: Make up forever flash palette in Red 017 and leaf green 008
Inner lid color: ELF studio eyeshadow palette--> Golden color on the left hand side of the palette
Middle lid color: ELF studio eyeshadow palette----> tree green on left hand side; shown in the picture
Crease color: ELF studio 100 eyeshadow palette--> red color from bottom right; shown in the picture
Tear duct highlight: Same color as inner crease color
Gold accents: Make up forever flash palette in Gold 004
Eyeliner: Elf essentials liquid eyeliner in black
Curler: Daiso sliver curler
Mascara: L'oreal fiber false lashes

Hope you guys like it :D

Coastal scents online nightmare

Wow, i just finally got out of the coastal scents site. I've been getting ahead with the black friday sales. Coastal scents right now is having a 50% off everything on everything on their site. I have never, ever been this frustrated with buying something online. Can you imagine going on a site and everytime you click, its like "site is not working"! F*** SOO ANNOYING! It took me 1 and a half hour to buy 12 hot pots. ARGH! Anyways, if you guys are interested, go check it out but be warned! P.S. If you have been wondering where I have been lately, not uploading on this site, i've actually been working hard earning points at Luuux to get free stuff. Duh XD. I've been trying to get the mulberry alexa bag but it seems its going to take 2 years at this rate :(. Otherwise I will be back soon here after i get super frustrated from that site LOL.

Wet n WIld Silk Finish Lipsticks Review

As I was strolling around in Wal Mart, I stop by the Wet n Wild booth to check out the selection. What did my eyes fest on? $1.57 CAD beauties :). Especially the bright fuchsia with blue sheen lipstick 521A. To my surprise, there is 22 shades. Sadly in Canada, we always have a limited selection of USA products. I'm really sad because I'm really loving these lipsticks! Their much better then ELF mineral lipsticks and cheaper with more beautiful colors. The packaging is not the best, but I'd view it as "practical" LOL. The stupid thing is, they don't print the names of each lipstick onto the actual lipstick. Its on the packaging which you rip off. I had to research for the name online. Fail packaging people!! Another thing I don't like about the packaging is that the lipstick tip doesn't go all the way done, so when you put the lid you have to be very careful.
First one up, Breeze 547B. Its a nice browny nude, almost the same shade as this year's Viva Glam Lady gaga lipstick, but with a really fine sliver sheen. It's a frost finish lipstick and its super moisturizing! Silky, smooth with a decent color payoff which is buildable btw. I personally would not use this all over my lips by itself because it looks wayyyy too frosty, but use it as an accent color or a color over another to change the finish.
I've been looking for a beautiful bright fuchsia color for the longest thing, but did i really want to shell out $20 + for something I'd wear for, iunno, less then a few times? Not really. So when something like this comes around, especially for only $1.57, I couldn't pass even if i wanted to.521A Fuchsia with Blue pearl, and yes the name does it justice. Exactly what it is, Fuchsia with a blue sheen. Although you can't really see the blue sheen, its there. Trust me :)Absolutely love love love this color. Its not as opaque as MAC amplified, but the color payoff after a few layers= Love :'). Somewhat sheer, but still gives me enough color to turn people's heads. Not bad if i do say so myself.

Conclusion:
-price: A+
-packaging: B-
-product quality: A
-Overall quality: B++
-Buy again? Yes, as a matter of fact I'm going to buy all the ones i can get my hands on :).

Wet n completely Wild :D

Sunglasses from Forever 21

I'm always out and about to find the next cheap and stylish item. What did I find this time eh? Antique looking see through green plastic framed sunglasses. I've been looking for something where the legs aren't right in the middle. Wow i can't explain what I'm talking about. XD Just look for yourself. These were about $7. I usually buy brand name sunglasses but I caved into buying this. Although there is a big big difference with quality, I do get a kick out of these as "disposable fashion."

MAC Strobe cream

MAC...why are you so expensive. Sure if you buy one thing, it might seem to be decently priced. But when you are a hoarder like me, it hurts to go to MAC. Recently I went and bought the tinted moisturizer which was flipping $32!! That's insane! And you get really little product. And it does nothing for me! I mean i don't need full coverage, but its so light to the point where its kinda ridiculous how little coverage there is. Okay, anyways back to the strobe cream. So when i was standing at the cashier, I saw there were these new and cute MAC travel sized products. The one that stood out was the Strobe cream. I have been wanting to try it for a long time, and when i saw it was in a small tube I COULDN'T RESIST! The travel size is $18 CAD for 1 fluid ounce. Compared to $30 something bucks for 1.7 fluid ounce, I think this is pretty decent. I don't exactly get the hype about this product, I mean sure it gives a nice glow to the face (its very very very subtle though) but I can easily get the same affect if i used my everyday moisturizer and mix it in with some smash box artificial light cream. It has the same pinkish reflective sheen to it, why not just do that?Do you seen that pinkish sheen? Yea that's what I'm talking about. This product can be used as a moisturizer. I have tried it both ways, as a highlighter and a primer. It absorbs easily into the skin but the thing is, the sheen is so subtle to the point where you almost can't see it. I honestly don't see the hype for this product. It has a liquidy cream consistency, easy to blend and you don't need a lot of product to get the full affect. Conclusion:
-price: C
-packaging: C
-product quality: C
-Overall quality: C
-Buy again? No............Not worth it to me. I'd rather just use a highlighter if i want the "glow".

Dolce & Gabanna Anthology l'eau de toillette #3 L'imperatrice

I'm sure you have seen this ad. No? Yes I am a hoarder, and winners just doesn't help the cause XD. Winners has this fabulous little selection of perfume, and when i see something I'm unsure of. Go to sephora and smell it out of course! Never bought perfume full price WHOO.
All of the perfumes come in a sleek white box with D&G logo in black. The only difference with each perfume is their numbers. I got confused because i thought it was like 1 to 16 or something XD. Like there are 16 perfumes, but there are only 5 perfumes with random numbers.

L'imperatrice in french means "empress". I can't exactly say the name suits the perfume, but ok? This perfume features the aromas of watermelon, kiwi, pink cyclamen and musk. To me this smells like fresh clean laundry, which i absolutely love. I always wished someone would just bottle up that scent into a perfume form. I would buy bottle after bottle if they did had a scent like that. Although this D&G perfume is exactly the soap smell i like, it does smell quite like that which a hint of sweetness. Now i am not a fan of those sickly sweet smells, so D&G did justice with this perfume. Although I do like the scent, the lasting power of this perfume sucks! I need to use at least 3-4 sprays just to get the full affect. I love the scent but if i use this everyday, it would be gone in less then a month! That's ridiculous. This is why kids, read on the label if its "l'eau de toilette" or "l'eau de perfume". L'eau de perfume is more concentrated and has a longer lasting power. Overall I do like this perfume, but i wish its lasting power was better.

Clavin Klein Infinite Hydration Foundation in 113 Porcelain

So i was strolling around downtown Vancouver (thank god it was not the night of the Vancouver riot) and i went to Winners downtown. The one in downtown is so much nicer, has lots of nice watches (DKNY, Gucci, Hugo Boss...), tons of handbags but a small selection of make up and perfume. What caught my eye was this: I didn't know CK had a make up line. Say what? XD I had to try it because i'm a curious beast like that.
If you don't know what Winners is, Winners is the same thing as USA's Ross. You basically play the game of chance. But when you find something you like, they usually sell it to you for a good deal. This time around, I was lucky enough to find my shade of color and it wasn't opened! Wow this must have been meant to be.It comes in a nice sleek packaging, glass bottle, a pump and a plastic cap that has CK logo on top.
The coverage is light to medium and goes on the skin quite nicely. It does take a little bit of time to smooth it out onto the skin (well compared to my skin 79 bb cream). I have to say this foundation is average, nothing really special. I won't buy it again. Maybe its because I have a fear of using foundations because, well to be frank i don't want to be a cake face. XD I usually just use MAC studio fix powder and a bit of concealer. I don't need much, but its nice to have a foundation at hand.

Conclusion:

-price: C+

-packaging: B

-product quality: B-

-Overall quality: C+

-Buy again? No but it didn't hurt to try it for $12.99 CAD (compared to $35)
