Another collective beauty haul...yet again

Somebody help me.  This is seriously getting out of control.  My name is Christina and I have a shopping addiction.  I think I like it too much and the satisfaction of getting a deal is going through my head.  I mean my TJX membership card can prove it since my membership is valid until frinkin 2016!! HAHA omg Yes I do have a problem.

Mac and I'occitane en provence haul

Back in the end of January, I saw a post on smartcanucks.com (a website where they post really good deals and freebies for Canadians) had a freebie for a free l'occitance hand cream and if they reached 60,000 likes on their facebook page, they would upgrade the 10 mL to a full size 30 mL tube.  Thats an awesome deal and this is the second time that I know of that they had this freebie.  You didn't have to buy anything but there was a 15% off coupon.
When I went, I didn't really want anything since I knew everything was quite expensive, although I did buy their night shea butter face cream last year with the 15% off coupon.  I did really like the face cream but spring and summer was just around the corner so I really didn't need something so hydrating and oily.

Everyone had a choice of three scents: Peony hand cream, shea butter hand cream or lavender hand cream.  I choose Peony since it is one of my favorite flowers since the first bouquet of flowers that I ever got was from my boyfriend and they were the stand out in the bouquet hehe. I find that this peony version compared to the original shea butter one is a lot more thin and not as hydrating but still does the job.  I have to wash my hands more then 20 times in the eight hours I am at work so I have stupidly dried up
 hands.

Recreation of Roberto Roberto Cavalli Fall 2012

I post this beauty look a few days ago and I was so inspired by the model's beautiful picture. Roberto Cavalli Fall 2012 beauty look was inspired by bugs' beauty and their colors. This look really reminds me of a dragon fly and the colors that are portrayed when the sun hits it.

Primer: ELF eyelid primer $1

Color base: Make up forever flash palette $95; mixture of Bright blue 014 and Leaf green 008

Dark green lid color: Maybelline Color explosion ($6) in Forest Fury (Dark green in the V)

Middle green highlight: Maybelline Color explosion in Forest Fury $6 (Lime green color)

Light middle eyelid highlight: Maybelline color explosion $6 (Shimmery golden yellow color)

Cut crease color:
1) Color base= MUFE flash palette $95 in Brown 023
2) Setting color: ELF ultimate eyeshadow palette $15; mixture of browns

Inner lid color: Leishi pigments $20 for 40 colors on ebay; #78 purple color with blue and purple iridescents

Inner highlight color: Leishi pigments $20 for 40 colors on ebay; #005 (fushia pink color with blue iridescents

Inner tear duct: Benefit high beam liquid highlight $30 and shimmer pink color from Claire's shimmer palette $12 (I depot it and put it in a palette)

Eyeliner: MAC technakohl liner in Graphblack $18
Black setting color: MAC carbon black $20
Curler: Daiso lash curler $2

Mascara: L'oreal million lashes mascara $8

Most of the products I used are drugstore and inexpensive. The Maybelline color explosion in Forest Fury is the best pick for this look. The colors are spot on, its like they used Maybelline products for their fashion show :D. Anyways, I hope you guys like this recreation.

MAC VIVA GLAM haul

So as everyone knows, this is Lady Gaga's second time around to be the spokesperson for MAC AIDS VIVA GLAM. This year's lipstick and lip gloss is a very nudey tanned brown color. As soon as I saw the promotional pictures for this collection, it instantly triggered the thought it looked kinda like ELF's mineral lipstick in natural nymph and ligloss bare brown. The packaging is the same as last years, with lady gaga's autograph on the box and also on the tube. Close up of Lady Gaga LipstickLady Gaga close up Lipgloss Comparison of Mac VIVA GLAM lady gaga's lipgloss (top) and ELF mineral lipgloss in Bare brown (bottom)
MAC lipgloss (left) and ELF mineral lipglass in Bare (right)
As you can see, the lady gaga lipgloss is much more opaque and has a creamy look to it while ELf mineral lipgloss is more sheer and a cooler brown color with subtle golden shimmers.

Lady gaga's lipstick is a much more darker compared to the elf lipstick which as a more pinky undertone.

The MAC lipstick is super creamy and super pigmented, much worth the money. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat =). The lipgloss is the same quality, very pigmented and creamy but i wouldn't wear them together because i'd look like a dying zombie XD.

ELF tone correcting concealer vs MAC moisture blend

When I first got the tone correcting concealer, immediately I thought it looked like a dupe for MAC's moisture blend. And it really is a good dupe for the MAC's moisture blend. The packaging is the same, comes with the doe foot applicator and the size is the same. I don't' know how much product the ELF one comes with but MAC comes with 5 mL.
They both have a liquidity formula and is very light weight. I know a lot of people don't like the ELF one because they can't find the right shade, but luckily for me Light Beige is the perfect color for a NC20-25. The color is a way better color match then my MAC one. In my opinion, I'd buy the ELF one any day. Compared to $1 or $20 bucks, which one would you pick?
As you can see, the MAC one is wayyy more orange (just noticed that its NW20...and I'm a NC, argh) then the ELF one. Frinking love the ELF one wayyyy more. Both of them are non-drying and are easy to blend. Thumbs up ^^
Conclusion for ELF tone correcting concealer:
-price: A+ ($1 each)
-packaging: A
-product quality: A
-Overall quality: A
-Buy again? Yes

MAC Dame Edna Beauty Powder in Spectacle! Review

I never knew what the point was to have a powder that is almost translucent but with a pink tone...Such a waste of money. Until now! =D I'm so liking now. For people that don't know what beauty powders are suppose to do:

-iluminate your face and give it a glow
-basically like a matte highlighter
-can be used as a blush.
I have to admit I only bought this because I have seen it on Youtube for quite a few times and wanted one myself. I got this in the CCO when i went to the states for only $18! YEY

The packaging looked quite nice and it also came with a puff thingy that i don't use. The glasses on the case looked awesome, but i didn't notice that it was only a cheap sticker ==". Fail. When you first buy it, it has this spray on thingy that makes it look very shimmery and pretty. But after about 5 swirls, the product underneath is actually matte. Iunno if you can see still, but the powder had a imprint of "Dame Edna" with stars all around it.

The product itself is nicely pressed and feels very silky to the touch. Pigmentation is sheer, but that is the point of beauty powders.

Overall mark:

-packaging: B

-product: A

-Cost: B+

Little haul

I have been eyeing this collection for so long and it was finally OUT!!! LILYLAND =D

Mini haul from MAC and Victoria Secret (Mac lilyland Face Powder, MAC 219 brush, Beauty Rush cream eyeshadow).

Around $32 bucks, this baby is well worth it. Brown is for bronzer, pink is for blush, yellow part is for highlighter and the orange is something random?

A close look, I sorta used it before I took this picture so thats why it kinda looks a little dusty with loose powder.
